Our Story

“Every act of kindness builds a bridge toward a better world.

Founded on 5th September, the International Day of Charity, Guru Ashray Foundation (GAF) was established during Ganesh Utsav and Teachers’ Day by changemakers Kirti Karaley, Sanskruti Torkadi, and Tanmay Surana.


Rooted in the belief that service to humanity is the highest form of worship, GAF works to empower underprivileged children, support the elderly, and uplift marginalized communities through compassion, education, healthcare, and social welfare programs.

Ms. Kirti Karaley

Director at GAF

A volunteer at heart who is a firm believer in contributing to the society. A Certified Project Management Professional who has served as a volunteer and led various cross-functional projects and programs at multiple organizations.

Sanskruti, a financial professional who is passionate about social justice, makes sure that the NGO’s efforts are transparent and accountable while also volunteering in the community.

With a solid foundation in finance, Tanmay uses his expertise to help the NGO expand sustainably and his commitment to community welfare.

Our Goals

At Guru Ashray Foundation, our short-term focus is to provide immediate support through education, food, healthcare, and companionship for children and the elderly, while building a compassionate volunteer network that brings kindness into action. In the long run, we aim to establish sustainable community programs in education, healthcare, and nutrition to create a lasting social impact.
